New chair at Postmedia

Rod Phillips, chair of the board at Toronto-based Postmedia Network Canada, has resigned from the position to run for elected office in the upcoming Ontario provincial election. Phillips had been chair of the company since 2014. Paul Godfrey, CEO of Postmedia, has been appointed to the additional position of executive chairman. Also, Peter Sharpe has been appointed lead director of Postmedia Network Canada and its subsidiary Postmedia Network. Sharpe is a founding director of the company.
