Flavour TV launches in Toronto

A new digital publishing and video content production agency called Flavour TV has launched in Toronto. The property, located at <>, specializes in culinary and lifestyle content, as well as specialized content for foodservice professionals. This content takes the form of hosted series, interviews, documentary-style series, articles and branded video. The property's branding and website were developed by LP/AD of Toronto.

"There's a lot behind this brand identity," said Alex Shifrin, managing partner at LP/AD. "It's a nod to classic caricature imagery, so there's a bit of fun there. Because fewer people watch TV and it's almost become a sign of another era, we wanted to create a brand icon referencing TV's golden age. You can see that in the old, tube style TV set after which we modeled the logo. The colours represent the five basic flavours, which are sweet, sour, salty, bitter and umami and create a swirl-like test pattern on the logo's face."
