Restaurants Canada begins Making Moments campaign

Restaurants Canada of Toronto has begun a promotion called "Making Moments," timed to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the country. According to the organization, the initiative is intended to highlight the role that restaurants play in the lives of Canadians. Consumers are invited to participate by submitting their favourite restaurant moments via a website at <http://www.restaurantscanada.org/makingmoments>. Those who do will be entered into a draw for a trip for two to Yukon from Air North. The contest also includes monthly prizes.
"From marriage proposals to business deals, and from first jobs to second chances, restaurants provide the setting for many special moments in our lives," said Restaurants Canada president and CEO Shanna Munro. "Canada's anniversary year is the perfect time to celebrate and share those stories."
Restaurants Canada is professional association representing 30,000 foodservice businesses. The campaign is sponsored by Canada Bread, Saputo and Air North.
