Blammo Worldwide, Extreme Group merge

Blammo Worldwide of Toronto and Extreme Group of Halifax have merged to form a new agency called Arrivals & Departures. The combined firm will have a staff of 50, headed by president Mike Bevacqua, a partner in Extreme Group, who will be based in Toronto. Additional staff in Toronto include creative director Phil Sylver, planning director Dawn Whiteman, production director Claire McRae and chief financial officer Daniel Tolensky. Alan Gee will be chief creative officer. New hires include client service director Ian Brooks, formerly John St., and Sathish Bala, digital and technology vice-president. Chief creative officer Shawn King and planning vice-president Martin Delaney will continue to head the Halifax office. Both will also be partners in the firm.

"This is a great story about two successful independent shops coming together to evolve and push the boundaries of what we’re capable of offering our clients," said Bevacqua. "The timing was perfect to rebrand and bring everything together under a new identity. The partnership has resulted in new client wins, exponential growth in our Toronto office, a new location in Halifax and the addition of seasoned and passionate creative talent to our team."

Clients of Arrivals & Departures include Ivanhoe Cambridge, Goeasy, ConAgra Brands, Fallsview Casino Resort, the CAA, Efficiency Nova Scotia, Stanfield's, Enbridge Gas New Brunswick and the NSCC, among others.
