Boston Pizza begins summer burger campaign

Restaurant chain Boston Pizza has begun a summer advertising campaign promoting the addition of hamburgers and several other items to its menu. The campaign includes a television commercial called "Winners." It features a Boston Pizza spokesperson called Gerry introducing the new burgers. A second ad called "Swing and a Misdirect" will be released in July, which will support a draw to win an on-field experience with the Toronto Blue Jays. Additional digital elements include website materials, online videos and banner ads. The campaign was developed by Taxi 2, with media work from UM and public relations by High Road.

"Summer is burger season in Canada, and we're coming out swinging with a revamped menu that's sure to draw a standing ovation from burger lovers across the country," said Steve Silverstone, executive vice-president of marketing at Boston Pizza. "Whether it's a dinner with the kids, taking in a Jays game in our sports bar with friends, or ordering take-out or delivery, we can't wait for Canadians to step-up to the plate and try our epic new burger creations this summer."
