Unilever begins Dove My Beauty, My Say campaign

Unilever has begun a new campaign for its Dove line of products called "My Beauty, My Say." The campaign consists of an online video depicting nine women "who have refused to allow judgements about their beauty and the way they look to limit their achievements," according to the company. The video encourages consumers to have confidence in themselves regardless of their physical appearance. The campaign also invites consumers to share their own experiences via social media or at the Dove.ca website.
"Dove believes a woman's beauty should be celebrated on her own terms, not the terms of others, which is the central message of 'My Beauty, My Say,'" said Diane Laberge, marketing director at Unilever Canada. "Through the stories of the women profiled and our campaign, we want to give all women a platform to speak out against beauty limits."
