Hotels.com releases first Canadian creative

Online travel company Hotels.com has launched its first advertising creative specific to Canada. Developed by J. Walter Thompson, the television campaign features a spokescharacter called Captain Obvious. In the first execution, the character walks through a resort speaking with visitors from various Canadian locations. The campaign will run on television and online until June.
"Captain Obvious is impossible to resist," said Denise Cole, associate creative director at J. Walter Thompson Canada. "He's charming, funny, honest and, moreover, he’s knowledgeable, able to give Canadians a real advantage when it comes to booking hotels online. There's no doubt he'll resonate with Canadian consumers."
