McCormick hires UM

McCormick Canada, a food company based in London, ON, has retained UM of Toronto as its media agency of record. The assignment includes media planning and buying for the company's range of spices, seasonings and condiments. McCormick's US-based parent company hired UM as its media agency last year. UM is a division of IPG Mediabrands.

"We saw some natural symmetries in partnering with UM, but what won the day was their approach to the business and the passion from their people," said Andrew Foust, vice-president of marketing at McCormick Canada. "They impressed our team with the high quality work they've done for their other clients. On top of that, they were also able to paint a meaningful picture of where they plan to take our brands through a variety of media platforms."
