McDonald's conducts Secret Secret Menu Challenge

McDonald's Canada is conducting a promotion aimed at its employees in Ontario called the "Secret Secret Menu Challenge." Developed in association with Cossette, the initiative invited McDonald's employees to submit recipes for new menu items using existing ingredients. The submissions were posted online at <http://www.secretsecretmenu.ca> for public voting and social media sharing.
On Dec. 8, eight semi-finalists will travel to the McDonald's Canada head office to test their recipes. Later, the finalists will attend an event at which they will prepare their recipes for a panel of judges. The grand prize winner will receive $10,000, while the second place finisher will win $5,000 and third place will receive $2,500. The recipe which receives the most online votes will win $1,000.
