SickKids Foundation readies new campaign

The Toronto-based SickKids Foundation will begin a new marketing campaign on Nov. 2. The eight-week campaign was developed by Cossette. It will consist of online videos and a two-minute television commercial. The online videos tell the stories of patients whose lives have been put "on pause" by illness. Viewers are encouraged to "unpause" these stories by making a donation. Each video will be fully revealed once a set number of donations have been received. The campaign also features update videos from some of the patients who appeared in the foundation's 2014 campaign. In addition, a special holiday episode of the CBC program Murdoch Mysteries will feature The Hospital for Sick Children in its script, with a focus on its 140th anniversary.
