New president and CEO at MLSE

Toronto-based Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment has appointed Michael Friisdahl to the position of president and chief executive officer. He will begin work in December. Friisdahl was previously president and CEO of the leisure group at Air Canada. Prior to that, he was CEO of Thomas Cook North America and chief operating officer of Thomas Cook Canada. He was also president and CEO of The Holiday Network, later acquired by Thomas Cook.
