McDonald's conducts Ronald McDonald House promotion
By Adnews Staff
McDonald's Canada conducted a national in-store initiative yesterday in support of its Ronald McDonald House charitable organization. Called "Every Meal's a Happy Meal," the effort consisted of serving every order between 6AM and early afternoon in a Happy Meal box. Each box contained a handwritten note from a parent or child who has stayed at a Ronald McDonald House during medical treatment, thanking the consumer for supporting the charity. This is the first time the fast food chain has conducted such an initiative. The company has also released an online video on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter supporting the program, and launched a new website at <http://www.rmhcthankyou.ca>.
The effort was developed by Cossette. Media buying was handled by OMD. Public relations are being conducted by Weber Shandwick, Tribal and National PR.
