Balsam joins Hill&Knowlton

Beth Balsam has joined Hill&Knowlton Strategies as president and CEO of its US operations. She will be based in New York. Balsam has spent the last 11 years at Citizen Relations, most recently as a managing director in its New York office where she handled its global Procter & Gamble account. Prior to that, she was general manager of the New York office. Balsam was also a senior vice-president at FleishmanHillard.

Outgoing US president and CEO Mike Coates will remain head of the firm's global practices as well as president and CEO of the Americas region, which includes Canada, the US and Latin America.
