Air Miles begins Better Bonus Event promotion

Loyalty program Air Miles is conducting a promotion this month called the "Better Bonus Event." During the initiative, the program will donate loyalty points for each eligible purchase a program member makes to a range of children's charities. Participating consumers will also be entered into a draw for a grand prize of 50,000 loyalty points, as well as an additional 50,000 points for a charity of the winner's choice. The promotion will run until Sept. 6, to coincide with the back-to-school shopping season. The Air Miles program is operated by LoyaltyOne of Toronto.
"Air Miles is dedicated to giving back to our communities, and we are proud to help our collectors be the catalyst for this kind of positive change," said Rachel MacQueen, vice-president of marketing at Air Miles. "Together with our partners, this new program will give collectors a simple but powerful way to give back to the children's causes doing great work in their own communities."
The charitable organization receiving each donation with depend on where each purchase was made. Participating organizations include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, the Sobeys Better Food Fund, Free The Children, Home Cook Heroes, the Rexall Foundation, the Green Apple School Program, the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada and United Way Centraide.
