Air Miles debuts charitable donation option

Loyalty program Air Miles has introduced a new option by which members of the program can use their accumulated loyalty points to make donations to approximately 86,000 registered Canadian charities. Using a website at <http://www.airmiles.ca/donate> can make donations in increments of $10 to multiple charities. Air Miles is operated by LoyaltyOne of Toronto.
"At Air Miles, we are dedicated to delivering new ways for our collectors to experience all that our program has to offer, and to introduce new initiatives that matter to them," said Rachel MacQueen, vice-president of marketing at Air Miles. "Cash collectors will continue to enjoy the flexibility of using their miles any way they like, be it at the grocery store, online and now, through charitable giving."
