Canadian Pacific, All Vision form outdoor advertising deal

Calgary-based railway company Canadian Pacific has formed a joint venture with out-of-home advertising company All Vision Canada of Mississauga to develop an outdoor advertising infrastructure along CP's right of way. The joint venture, called Van Horne Outdoor, will focus on constructing digital advertising displays and managing the licenses for the approximately 700 existing signs along the right of way. Canadian Pacific operates approximately 14,000 miles of track and right of way in North America.
"This fits well with CP's strategic approach to our real estate assets, as All Vision is well positioned to assist us in unlocking value in the outdoor advertising space," said Mark Wallace, vice-president of corporate affairs at Canadian Pacific and chairman of Van Horne Outdoor. "All Vision is an expert in this field and we look forward to this multi-year partnership to optimize CP's assets."
