BC Used Oil Management Association releases video

The BC Used Oil Management Association has released a promotional online video intended to raise awareness of the importance of keeping old oil out of the water supply. The 30-second video, developed by Grey Vancouver, is aimed primarily at do-it-yourself automotive enthusiasts. It seeks to inform viewers that one drop of oil can impact a million drops of water.
"Instead of going with a broad 'save the planet' message, we tried a more individual approach," said Katie Ainsworth, creative director of the agency. "We wanted people to really think about how dumping oil in the garbage or down the drain directly affects them."
The BC Used Oil Management Association is a not-for-profit organization that manages the provincial recovery and recycling of used oil, antifreeze, filters and containers.
