New editor-in-chief at The Kit

Laura deCarufel has joined Star Media Group of Toronto as editor-in-chief of style and beauty property The Kit. She will begin work on Aug. 4. DeCarufel was most recently executive editor at Elle Canada. She has also worked at Fashion magazine, The Look and Elm Street. The Kit consists of seven digital beauty guides per year, as well as three weekly electronic newsletters, a website and a weekly paper edition in the Toronto Star, Ottawa Citizen, Montreal Gazette, Calgary Herald, Edmonton Journal and Vancouver Sun.
