Public Safety Canada, Telus conduct Be App Safe campaign

Public Safety Canada and Telus have begun an awareness campaign called "Be App Safe." Developed by Manifest Communications of Toronto, the campaign encourages consumers to control the information on the mobile devices in order to protect their personal data from online criminals. The five-week initiative include online and in-store materials, including an advice sheet, an online quiz, blog posts and social media activities.

"Public Safety Canada and TELUS are a great match because together they can inform and inspire action among Canadians to be safer on their smartphones," said Andrea Kligman, account director at Manifest Communications.
