PepsiCo resumes Lay's Do Us a Flavour contest

PepsiCo Canada has resumed a contest promotion in support of its Lay's potato chip brand called "Do Us a Flavour." The contest invites consumers to submit ideas for new potato chip flavours at <http://www.lays.ca/flavour> until April 22. Submissions must be "inspired" by one of four Canadian regions: western Canada, Ontario, Quebec or Atlantic Canada. A judging panel will select one finalist from each region, whose flavours will go on sale nationally for a limited time. Public voting will then determine the winner, who will receive $50,000 plus one percent of their flavour's future sales.
"From road trips and cottage getaways to favourite Canadian vacation spots and the cities we live in, flavour inspiration can come from anywhere in this great land," said Susan Irving, senior director of marketing for core brands at PepsiCo Foods Canada. "Every Canadian has flavours they love and identify with and we're excited to give fans the chance to be inspired by great Canadian regions."
This will be the third year of the contest in Canada. This year, the promotion will include personalized videos for entrants featuring their flavours, intended to be shared via social media.
