Freckle IOT launches in Toronto

A new advertising technology company called Freckle IOT has officially launched in Toronto. The company will specialize in technology that allows localized advertising to mobile devices. While Freckle is a stand-alone company, advertising sales will be handled by Juice Mobile. The company has also formed agreements with out-of-home advertising companies to install its technology in billboards and digital screens. Mobile publishers can integrate Freckle's software into their own applications to allow them to respond to proximity to the system, which also collects data from consumers on an opt-in basis.
"Mobile advertising is moving to a world where the phone will activate objects and information around you," said Neil Sweeney, CEO of Freckle and Juice Mobile. "Freckle is devising strategies to expand and encompass the greater 'Internet of Things' by connecting directly to consumers via next generation devices.
