McDavid joins Canadian Tire Jumpstart program

Canadian Tire of Toronto has signed an endorsement agreement with hockey player Connor McDavid to participate in its Jumpstart Charities initiative. McDavid is the captain of the Ontario Hockey League Erie Otters. Jumpstart is a national charitable program that works to provide children from low-income families the ability to participate in organized sports.
"We think Connor embodies everything that Canadian Tire wants in an athlete and a Jumpstart Ambassador," said T.J. Flood, senior vice-president of Canadian Tire. "His character, passion for sport, and his commitment to his community of Newmarket, ON, are qualities of an athlete that fit naturally with Canadian Tire values.
