Postmedia redesigns Calgary Herald

Postmedia Network has introduced a redesign of the Calgary Herald newspaper as part of its ongoing chain-wide redesign initiative. The modifications include updated versions of the paper's print, web, tablet and smartphone editions, each intended to provide a different kind of content to a different readership. Automaker Nissan has begun a sponsorship of the publication by which the new tablet edition will be available for free for the next three months.
"The new Calgary Herald offers four new and distinct products each with different content, for different audiences, on different platforms, at different times of the day," said Lorne Motley, editor of the Calgary Herald. “For many years, we have been offering readers what is essentially the same information on all of our platforms. We are now tailoring information to what our audiences have told us they're interested in reading based on how they access the Herald."
