HGTV Canada begins This is Home campaign

Shaw Communications of Toronto has begun a holiday season campaign for specialty television channel HGTV Canada. The campaign, called "This is Home," encourages consumers to share via social media photographs and videos of what makes their homes special. The campaign also includes the involvement of several HGTV personalities and show hosts, who will share their own personal photographs in a commercial that will break this weekend. As the campaign continues, images submitted by viewers will be incorporated into the broadcast materials. Consumers can submit images via Twitter or Instagram.

"For me, home is the perfect setting where my family comes together," said Amanda Ploughman, vice-president of marketing at Shaw Media. "It's a sanctuary, and we all contribute to the look and feel of it. HGTV has been inspiring decisions in Canadian homes for years with its authentic, aspirational, and entertaining programming. With the #ThisIsHome campaign we want the opportunity to engage with our fans and see what they treasure most about their homes."
