Sunbeam begins Supports with Warmth campaign
By Adnews Staff
Consumers goods company Sunbeam Products, based in Brampton, ON, has begun an awareness and fundraising campaign for the Canadian Cancer Society. The campaign, called "Supports with Warmth," is in support of the society's patient transportation programs, which assist cancer patients in getting to and from their treatments. The campaign features on online video depicting the experiences of a real single mother with a young child who required cancer treatment at a facility far from their home. The three-minute video is being hosted at <http://www.sunbeam.ca/supportswithwarmth>, a website that also encourages consumers to donate to these transportation programs.
"When we learned about Wheels of Hope and the Canadian Cancer Society's other patient transportation programs, we wanted to help draw attention to this important cause and provide a little bit of warmth to those undergoing cancer treatment," said Jamie Libregts, senior marketing manager for personal comfort and wellness at Sunbeam. "We hope Kelly and Jaxson's story highlights the strength and courage of those relying on this service, as well as the dedication of volunteers like Florence, and encourages people to support the society in whatever way they can."
Sunbeam is a subsidiary of Jarden Consumer Solutions.
