The Source signs promotional deal with Ottawa Senators

Electronics retailer The Source, based in Barrie, ON, has signed a season-long promotional agreement with the Ottawa Senators hockey team. Through the agreement, the chain will conduct a series of consumer promotions and special offers through the year. In addition, the chain's 41 stores in the Ottawa region will distribute Senators tickets and merchandise as part of special offers. As the first of these, until Oct. 29, consumers who activate a smartphone on a new plan at The Source will receive two tickets to a regular season game. The agreement also incorporates in-store materials, flyer exposure, online materials and social media activities.
"The Source is thrilled to partner with the Ottawa Senators this season," said Ron Craig, vice-president of marketing and business development at The Source. "Ottawa is a key market for us and the Senators are the premier sports franchise in the nation's capital. Many of our customers are big hockey fans so giving them opportunities to get Sens tickets and merchandise at The Source is a win-win."
