Samsung sponsors NBA Nation tour

Samsung Canada has signed-on as the presenting sponsor of the second annual "NBA Nation" basketball tour, conducted by NBA Canada. The five-city tour will begin in Vancouver on Aug. 9. Each event will feature a number of free interactive basketball activities, contests, on-court demonstrations and personal appearances by NBA players. Samsung will also offer a skills challenge at each event, in which participants can run a timed obstacle course on the court. The tour will stop in Edmonton, Montreal, Halifax and Toronto before coming to an end on Sept. 13.

"Canadian basketball passion is currently at a fever pitch, and we're proud to partner with NBA Canada to bring this to life," said Mark Childs, chief marketing officer at Samsung Canada. "By integrating Samsung technology into the NBA Nation events, we're connecting fans' passion for the game so they can play more, do more and share more of their passion for the game."

Additional sponsors of the tour include Skullcandy, Foot Locker, Adidas and Sprite.
