Taco Bell promotes Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco

Fast food chain Taco Bell recently conducted a promotion for the Canadian launch of a new menu item called the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco. The promotion, developed by Grip, made use of an arcade cabinet placed outside a Taco Bell location, at which consumers could play a video game about standing in line for a taco. Consumers who played the game received a free Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco. The agency also developed an online video about the promotion for distribution through social media channels, as well as an online version of the game at <http://www.tacobell.ca/thewaitinggame>. Online players can receive a coupon for the product. Media buying for the initiative was conducted by MediaCom.
"Ever since Taco Bell Canada introduced the Nacho Cheese Doritos Locos Tacos flavour to Canada last summer, Taco Bell fans have been waiting impatiently for their chance to try Cool Ranch," said Veronica Castillo, marketing manager at Taco Bell Canada. "Hopefully our fans will agree that the taste of Cool Ranch DLT is worth waiting for."
