New board chair at Postmedia

Toronto-based Postmedia Network Canada has appointed Rod Phillips to the position of chair of the board of both Postmedia Network Canada and its subsidiary Postmedia Network. He was most recently president and chief executive officer of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation. Prior to that, Phillips was president and CEO of Shepell.fgi and chief of staff to Toronto Mayor Mel Lastman.

Martin Nisenholtz has also joined the Postmedia board as a director and as chair of the its digital oversight committee. Nisenholtz is a venture partner at FirstMark Capital of New York. Prior to that, he was a senior advisor to The New York Times Company, where he was also senior vice-president of digital operations.
