Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation hires Stephen Thomas

The Toronto-based Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation has retained Stephen Thomas, also based in Toronto, as its direct marketing agency of record. The agency won the account in a competitive pitch process that began in July. Stephen Thomas will participate in the foundation's efforts to integrate its existing mass-market philanthropy programs. The assignment includes direct mail, newsletters and the monthly and annual donation programs of the foundation.

"Mount Sinai is the hospital that philanthropy built," said Kevin Goldthorp, president of the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation. "Because every donation we receive counts toward improving the quality of life of our patients, we are looking to strategically increase return on investment and net dollars raised through all of our programs, in addition to increasing the hospital's presence and profile. We're very excited to see what ST can do to boost our mass-philanthropy programs. They're some of the best fundraising marketers around, and Mount Sinai Hospital is ready to grow these programs that raise much-needed funds for the hospital."
