Canadian Tire releases new commercial

Canadian Tire has released a new television commercial called "Anthem" that is intended to promote active play among Canadian children. The 60-second commercial, developed by Cleansheet Communications of Toronto, contrasts old footage of children playing outside with images of empty playgrounds, empty swimming pools and children watching TV and playing video games. The ad uses the copy, "Bring back play." The ad is part of a larger brand campaign called "We All Play for Canada" which is also intended to promote active, outdoor play. The campaign includes a website at <http://www.weallplayforcanada.ca> which carries a series of videos covering various aspects of play.
