Digital Alberta selects new president
Calgary-based Digital Alberta has appointed Owen Brierley to the position of president. He is the executive director of Guru Digital Arts College and was previously a member of the board of the organization. He was also the multimedia development coordinator for Alberta Learning's LearnAlberta.ca project. Wade Muri of WadeCo Ventures has been appointed north vice-president. Jas Panesar of Damaag Consulting, Peter Bishop of ZGM Collaborative Marketing, Jamie Clark of Business Instincts Group and Tyler Shandro of Robots and Pencils have joined the board of directors. Digital Alberta works to promote the digital media industry in the province through professional development workshops, advocacy, education, events and business development.
