Match Marketing Group buys SVM

Toronto-based Match Marketing Group has acquired SVM of Montreal. Both firms specialize in shopper marketing. According to Match, the purchase is part of an ongoing effort to increase its North American presence and extend its shopper marketing services. The company has acquired six firms in the US and Canada in the last year. Its services now include research, campaign development, experiential marketing, event marketing, direct selling, merchandising and retail operations. "Adding SVM to the Match family complements our strategy of delivering a national service to marketers and retailers with the addition of a full-service presence in French Canada," said Brett Farren, president and CEO of Match Marketing Group. "I look forward to working closely with Stephane Drouin and Karim Marrouch, and their world-class team of shopper marketing experts."
