Report: Out-of-home media companies expand digital inventory

According to the Toronto-based Out-of-Home Marketing Association of Canada, its member companies can increased their digital out-of-home advertising inventory by over the last 15 months from 3,700 to 6,800 screens. These companies include Astral Out-of-Home, CBS Outdoor, Cogeco Metromedia, Lamar Transit, Newad, Pattison Outdoor, Titan 360 and Zoom Media. These digital ads can include features such as motion, looping, audio, mobile compatibility, Internet connnectivity, live video streaming and gesture recognition. "The expansion of OMAC member company's digital offerings underscores the industry's commitment to respond to the needs of the advertising community by adapting to shifting consumer trends and increasing the innovative choices available for marketers to optimize campaign results," said Michael Reha, chairman of the association.
