Canadian Tourism Commission keeps DDB

The Canadian Tourism Commission has retained DDB Canada of Vancouver as its communications agency for an additional five-year period. DDB held on to the account in a request-for-proposals process that considered submissions from 35 firms. The agency will develop marketing communications programs intended to attract visitors to Canada. DDB has held this account for the last 10 years. "By choosing DDB, we chose a culture of innovation, not an advertising agency, and that's a competitive advantage for Canada," said Greg Klassen, senior vice-president of marketing strategy and communications at the commission. "The team blew us away with their seamless presentation, passion and deep understanding of our business, and unparalleled commitment to create groundbreaking strategic work to help the CTC lead the tourism industry."
