Nespresso releases new television advertising

Nestlé Nespresso has released new advertising in the US and Canada for its single-serve coffee brand Nespresso. This is the second phase of a campaign that began in April. The ad features actress Penelope Cruz and uses the tagline, "The best café. Yours." The 30-second television commercial is intended to raise awareness of the brand amid the increasing popularity of single-serve coffee makers. The creative focuses on the Lattissima Plus coffee machine and depicts Cruz at home as a male friend makes her a cappuccino. The effort also includes a 15-second commercial promoting a recently-released coffee machine called the U. In Canada, the ads will break nationally on Dec. 3. They broke in the US this week. The campaign also includes digital advertising, social media activities and a website at <http://www.nespresso.com/whatelse>. "We're launching the second phase of the campaign just in time for the holiday season when coffee and entertaining are a hallmark of the home," said Laurence Corthay, marketing director at Nespresso Canada. "The idea behind the campaign remains consistent, reinforcing our dedication to providing genuine moments of pleasure, cup after cup."
