Chevrolet Canada has signed-on for a fourth year as the lead sponsor of student marketing competition Canada's Next Top Ad Exec. The competition is an initiative of the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University in Hamilton, ON. Participants will compete to develop marketing strategies for the 2013 Chevrolet Equinox. Two winners will receive a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. Other prizes include two $2,500 and two $1,000 scholarships from Chevrolet Canada, as well as paid internships from other sponsoring organizations. These sponsors include MacLaren McCann, GCI Group, Cascades Recovery, Canadian Tire, PepsiCo, The Globe and Mail, Marketing Magazine, the Institute of Communication Agencies, PPPC, McDonald’s, the Canadian Marketing Association, Barrett and Welsh, Fujifilm, Maple North, Student Awards, Environics Analytics and Search Engine People. "In our fourth year as lead sponsor of Canada's Next Top Ad Exec, we couldn't be more excited to see what quality submissions come out of this year's Canadian students," said Kevin Williams, president and managing director of General Motors Canada. "The Chevrolet Equinox is a small crossover delivering utility in a fuel efficient package which we feel will really test the students in a new creative way this year."
