National Capital Commission conducts online contest

The Ottawa-based National Capital Commission has begun an online contest to promote a concert by rock band Simple Plan in the city on July 1. During the initiative, developed by Soshal Group of Ottawa, visitors to the commission's Facebook page can enter by voting for a song they would like to hear during the Canada Day concert. The winner will receive a trip for two to Ottawa to meet the band. The contest will run until June 17. "Working with the NCC to build a contest that will connect Canadians from coast-to-coast has been a great experience," said Soshal CEO Dave Hale. "Building social promotions for events have always been a part of our business and Canada Day gives us an amazing platform to work with."
