Canlan Ice Sports of Burnaby, BC has signed a sponsorship and advertising sales representation agreement with Toronto-based DEC Sports and Entertainment. Canlan operates 20 recreational sports and entertainment facilities in North America. Under the new agreement, DEC will be responsible for sponsorship and advertising options related to Canlan brands and facilities. "We believe we have a number of opportunities to grow and maximize our sponsorship and advertising revenue in areas such as web traffic, building naming rights, Canlan TV, in-facility signage and better use of our signature brands," said Joey St-Aubin, president and CEO of Canlan Ice Sports. "Sponsorship and advertising represents between one and two percent of our overall annual revenue, we believe working with a specialist of DEC's quality will be the most effective way to grow that number and take full advantage of the potential that our brands and facilities have to offer."
