Leger Marketing buys into Isopublic

Montreal-based Leger Marketing has purchased a majority stake in Isopublic, a polling and market research firm based in Zurich, Switzerland. Matthias Kappeler will remain president of Isopublic. No financial details are available. "The acquisition of Isopublic is a strategic move for Leger Marketing, giving us access to international clientele based in Switzerland," said Jean-Marc Léger, president of Leger Marketing. "Our presence in Europe also allows us to support our North American clientele in European markets, clients such as Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft, Merck, Wells Fargo, Wal-Mart, AT&T, Scientific Games, Research in Motion, Adidas, Disney, Quebecor, Loblaws, Cascades, Couche-Tard, L'Oréal, LG and Samsung. Over the past decade we have seen a number of Canadian marketing research companies being acquired by global organizations headquartered outside of Canada. We are proud to be a Canadian company that is growing internationally yet still maintaining its Canadian roots."
