Shaw Media, Rogers Communications sign distribution agreement

Shaw Media and Rogers Communications have signed a long-term agreement for the continued distribution of Shaw Media's services. Through the agreement, Rogers customers will continue to have access to Shaw channels including History Television, HGTV Canada, Showcase and on-demand Global TV content. This deal includes on-demand, online and mobile availability. "Customers win when cable and media companies work together to make content available and affordable on multiple screens," said David Purdy, vice-president of video products at Rogers Communications. "Our long-term deal with Shaw gives Rogers customers access to highly sought-after world-class entertainment on their mobiles, on demand and online, providing the very best experience they expect from Rogers."
