CIBC has signed-on as the lead sponsor of the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games. During the four-year agreement, CIBC will be the exclusive lead partner status and exclusive financial institution sponsor. The sponsorship will include a national marketing strategy, financial resources, scholarships and athlete support, cultural programs and grassroots activities. "We see the Toronto Pan/Parapan American Games as an enormous opportunity for Canada, for Ontario and for the Greater Toronto region," said Gerald McCaughey, president and CEO of CIBC. "We are proud to associate our brand with what will no doubt be a significant event that will inspire a generation of young athletes and be a source of tremendous pride for the communities we serve."
Chevrolet Canada has also signed-on as the official vehicle sponsor of the Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games. Chevrolet will be the exclusive automotive sponsor of the games. As part of the agreement, the company will provide 1,000 vehicles to be used by organizers and volunteers during the games. "The partnership with the Pan/Parapan Am Games allows Chevrolet to be part of an event that will inspire and engage a generation of Canadians," said Kevin Williams, president and managing director of General Motors of Canada. "This major commitment is a natural extension of Chevrolet's long history of supporting Canadian athletes, from novice players experiencing the sport for the first time to elite athletes competing at the international level."
