La Presse unveils new branding
By Adnews Staff
Montreal newspaper La Presse has introduced new branding for its various media platforms. The branding includes a new logo intended to convey that La Presse is "more than a daily paper." The changes will be reflected in the daily print edition as well as the publication's website, mobile version and social media accounts. As part of the update, the Cyberpresse.ca website has been renamed Lapresse.ca and the Cyberpresse mobile application has been renamed La Presse Mobile. The names and graphic design of sections of the print version will be aligned with sections of the Lapresse.ca website. "Like any communications group, it is important to have a strong, unified brand," said Guy Crevier, president and publisher of La Presse. "So it is perfectly natural for us to build on La Presse as our flagship brand and to leverage it on all our media platforms in order to present a simpler more consistent product. This is all the more true because the La Presse brand is one that is broadly recognized as standing for excellence, credibility and thoroughness in news and information."
