Specialty television service FashionTelevision Channel will launches a new semi-annual publication called FT Magazine on Nov. 2. The debut 140-page winter edition will also make use of multimedia content at Fashiontelevision.com. Jeanne Beker has been appointed editor-at-large of the magazine in association with Geoffrey Dawe & Co and Mamone & Partners. One thousand copies will be distributed at the TIFF Bell Lightbox theatre during the debut of the exhibition "Grace Kelly: From Movie Star to Princess." The magazine will also be distributed on Nov. 6 to various home subscribers of the Toronto Star and to a number of neighbourhoods in Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary. The magazine will also be sold on newsstands nationally beginning Nov. 22. "FashionTelevision has always had its roots in the magazine world," said Jay Levine, editorial director of FT Magazine. "After the success of our 25th anniversary issue, we've been compelled to enter this market by finding a unique opportunity to connect print and video together in an interesting and engaging way. With a goal to deliver audiences the sexy style, glamour and classic taste that FT embodies, we couldn't think of a more fitting time or better fashion icon to feature on our premiere cover than Grace Kelly."
