HBO Canada promotes Boardwalk Empire

HBO Canada has begun a campaign in association with whisky brand Canadian Club and retailer Sears Canada to promote the new season of television series Boardwalk Empire. Canadian Club and HBO Canada are conducting on-premise promotions at approximately 100 bars and restaurants nationally. The activities include contests and sampling programs, as well as branded recipes on coasters, menu cards and posters. Transit advertising at Union Station in Toronto and social media activities are also in use. Campaign elements being conducted in association with Sears include branded vignettes in 10 stores depicting 1920s-style fashions. Consumers can also enter a draw for a trip for two to Atlantic City. The contest will run until Oct. 15. In addition, email advertising will offer discounts on men's dress pants and ties. HBO Canada is a multiplex channel offered by Astral in eastern Canada and Corus Entertainment in western Canada.
