Peter Mielzynski Agencies breaks Skyy Vodka film festival campaign

Alcohol importer Peter Mielzynski Agencies has begun a promotion for Skyy Vodka tied to the brand's sponsorship of the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival. Branded cocktails will be offered at various festival parties and events. The initiative includes a retail component conducted in association with the LCBO by which one dollar for each bottle sold with be donated to the prize for the Skyy Vodka Award for Best Canadian First Feature Film. Print advertising will run in LCBO Food & Drink, Tribute, Now and Hello magazines. Skyy will also conduct a contest in association with radio station 99.9 Virgin FM. The campaign also includes contests conducted with the LCBO, Now and Tribute, as well as social media activities. "We're excited about the scope of our festival involvement this year," said Chris Staresinic, senior marketing manager for Skyy at PMA Canada." We are rolling out dynamic, interactive trade and consumer initiatives designed to give consumers the ultimate VIP festival experience and are proud to continue our support of Canadian filmmakers with the Skyy Vodka Award for Best Canadian First Feature Film."
