DDB Canada launches shopper marketing practice

DDB Canada of Toronto has launched a new shopper marketing practice called Shopper DDB. The unit is intended to assist clients navigate the path to a purchase, before , during and after a shopping experience. The agency has appointed Jason Dubroy to the position of vice-president of shopper marketing and leader of the practice. He was previously at Spider Marketing. He is also the founder of the Shopper Marketing Forum. "Smart marketers across many categories such as packaged goods and consumer electronics are already allocating substantial budgets towards programs that play a huge role in influencing shopper behaviour," said David Leonard, national president and COO at DDB Canada. "Jason will help DDB Canada's clients understand and shape customer behaviour in the retail environment and develop idea-driven communications programs that will help brands to close a sale at the moment of truth."
