Rogers conducts million dollar trivia contest
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Rogers is conducting a contest in support of its Rogers On Demand Online service. Until Aug. 28, visitors to the website <http://www.rogersondemand.com> can register for the contest, then enter by answering five daily trivia questions at the brand's Facebook page. The more questions players answer, the better their odds of being one of five participants to compete in the final round for the grand prize of one million dollars. Players can receive additional entries by posting their game results on their own Facebook pages and by helping friends answer questions. The social media initiative, called the "Online Million Dollar Trivia Challenge," was developed by Fuse Marketing Group of Toronto. "We were challenged to create a program that would celebrate the essence of the brand's value while communicating key product messages with the energy and passion that is required with any Rogers brand," said Stephen Brown, senior vice-president and general manager of Fuse. "This really does put the brand in consumer's minds in a fun and engaging way."
