Volkswagen dealers break new campaign

Volkswagen Canada dealers have begun a national campaign depicting how easy it is to buy a Volkswagen vehicle during a sales event called "Volksfest." The three television commercials feature three children who find ways to get what they want, which turn out to be unnecessary later in their lives. The campaign, developed by Palm & Havas, also includes digital, newspaper and radio advertising, as well as point-of-sale materials. "We wanted to create a sales event that is uniquely Volkswagen," said Peter Viney, retail and CRM marketing manager at Volkswagen Canada. "Communicating affordability was very important, and we wanted to show how easy it is to get into a new Volkswagen. Volkswagen advertising from Palm & Havas has always had an element of insightful humour, and the goal is to make people smile when they see our ads."
