Magazines Canada conducts recycling campaign
By Adnews Staff
Magazines Canada of Toronto has begun an advertising campaign called "Read. Share. Recycle." The initiative is intended to encourage readers to recycle or share magazines with others once they have finished with them rather than throwing them away. The organization has also developed a logo and a series of print and online ads that member publications can use as part of the awareness effort. "When consumers put their magazines in the Blue Box, they are recycled to become everyday items like egg cartons, cereal boxes and countless other products," said Gary Garland, executive director of advertising services at Magazines Canada. "Recycling your magazine is the right thing to do."
